Happy Birthday Lord

Yes, of course, today has been the day that we celebrate our Lord's twenty-nineteenth birthday. We trust that He has spent the day in commune with his wondrous family in the place of his birth as befits such an auspicious occasion and that he has eschewed the company of a common fame-hunter and her wretched hangers-on.

In celebration of the Lord blessing this earth and all females who do walk upon it, Sister Shagwell and I thought some pictures of our Lord clad in nothing but what his mother and father gave him would be appropriate. However, not wanting to scare the children who may visit this site by accident, we settled on the following.

Happy Tennant Day to one and all

The Sisters

What was that line in 'Casanova'? Something about a character having a 'fine arse'? I'd amend that to VERY fine bod from top to toe and a Spectacular Arse.

I have to disagree with you there Anon. Kiddie about to go to Big School and both parents living in England (though mummy has moved to the west country) I think she will hand around here. He will do the Hugh Laurie thing till he gets bored and texts her bye bye from LAX. I wont cry, I will open a bottle of Bolly!

Wonderful news about " Rex " not such wonderful news for The Child- if she has any designs on picking up acting gigs here in the States because of who she dates, she better take a good long look at the type of women she'll be up against for roles.

We may love and adore Our Lord but he won't have the same pull here that he does over there ( Yet )

She isn't American, her mother was born in America, but she's British. She is supposed to be filming a BBC4 show in Manchester until autumn anyway and the school year starts in September. I honestly doubt a woman would just up and leave her home and all her family and friends and work (she does not have an agent in the US and it's incredibly hard for Brit actors to get work permits unless they are household names or already have a firm job offer), take her son away from his father and grandparents, enroll him in a new school in a foreign country, just to follow a man she's dating. They have never even lived together in this country and he's spent most of the time they've been dating working flat out in Wales, Stratford and Scotland. A permanent move is a massive thing and they will not know until late autumn at the earliest if Rex might last. Remember when pilots are picked up the network only commisions a handful of episodes at first and then waits to see if those episodes are successful. Rex might only last a few episodes or only one or two seasons, and DT might not want to move permanently. I'm sure she will visit him lots and NBC will likely rent him a place to stay but I'd be very surprised if she and her son moved permanently unless Rex becomes a proper lasting success and their relationship becomes more serious (i.e. engaged).

Odd that Sandra has moved away from the child and her son isnt it? She only said in an interview last year that she was too busy with her grandson to take a holiday. Hope that doesnt signify that she has handed over the care to the Lord and there are plans afoot for the romance to become more permanent. I still think that if so it will fall apart one day. Wakey wakey Lord before its too late

Thinking about it lately. Her comments at that Gally convention point to her thinking about moving to the US and that working in Hollywood she wouldn't rule it out. Defintiely wouldn't rule it out.

I was looking back at comments on here from october and noticed that someone posted on here that the child hadnt used her facebook account for two weeks and this was before she was spotted with the lord playing on rides with him in LA. Think she was there for the whole three weeks with him, but not with him all the time. I fear that the child and the lord are far more serious then we like to think! And they've had ages to know that both have desires to work in the US!

Amy said...

Natalie - Wanting to work in Hollywood is one thing. Gaining good and steady work is another.
There is no guarantee of that for her.

Whilst I don't condone stalking people's facebook accounts, what you mentioned means nothing. I find it odd that people are so willing to build up a scenario in their heads out of pure conjecture.
So what if she was in LA? Doesn't mean that she was cultivating a career there. DT clearly doesn't have fierce intentions for Hollywood fame. . he is just looking for new challenges and experiences. I know very little about her, but I do know that you cannot just start a U.S career and even if that was her intention, it is very much not that simple.
And secondly, I don't think anyone would make judgements on how serious a relationship is of someone they have never met. That is just ludicrous.

Natalie said...

Anonymous check out the child's comments at Gally. She's half american and has family out there anyway. She said that half of her family is out there and whenever she visits it feels like home to her. Her whole family isn't all in the UK.

Don't forget anonymous as well that the lord had quite a long resting period last year. He spent the majority of september to march mostly in London. Wouldn't surprise me if he's been living out of the child's house most of the time. We might have to face it ladies that the child is the one for the lord.

Anonymous said...

Has Sandra moved? I thought it was a holiday home. She is still running her stage school in Shepperton (near where GM lives), so she must spend a decent amount of time in the area.

Amy said...

I think I've figured out who 'Natalie' is. Let's just say referring to her as 'Child' isn't fooling me. I can see right through you. I find it strange that you seem to come up with an idea in your head an then convince yourself it is fact. I'm assuming you aren't actually living in DT's dustbins (as much as you may want to) so therefore don't know his every move or how much work he is doing at any given time.
He has worked pretty solidly recently, so I'm not sure why you seem convinced whose house he seems to inhabiting at any given time. Just because it is nothing you have heard about, it really doesn't mean it didn't happen. As for the half American thing. Can you please stop quoting Gally? She's British.
None of this has any bearing on a move to L.A and how successful it may be. I'm not sure what she means by family over there anyway. No interview with SD has alluded to any of her small family living in LA. Besides, this itself would not mean a move to LA would be more likely for GM or even beneficial to a possible career for her. GM has not spoke of a US career in any interview prior to that or any inclination towards there.

Anonymous said...

We must be about due to have one of the regular little comments sneaking in about the Lord's 'commitment - lurve etc' from GM's friends (or maybe its really GM herself) also her Daddy must be about ready for one of his little accidently on purpose slip ups

Agreed, I don't see how anyone can claim how serious they are or what will happen in the future. Saying you like a place and would not rule out living there one day in answer to a direct question, is not the same as announcing you're actively planning a move. As for his LA trip the only evidence she was there was one tweeter claiming to have seen DT with a girlfriend, no photos. He was sighted alone multiple times during that trip including checking into a hotel and eating in restaurants alone. I'm not saying she wasn't there, she probably was, but it's a lot to assume based on one Tweet, especially considering tweeters have been caught posing fake sightings of them before and iirc the tweeter did not identify GM specifically. Even if she wishes to go she does not have an agent and likely not a work permit and finding roles in LA is not easy. Besides most important is what DT wants. If he wants to settle down with her and take her with him, I would sincerely wish him every happiness with her, but I see nothing to prove that. After two years they still don't live together, he avoids being photographed with her, rarely takes her to events and is spotted without her far more than with, and takes jobs far away; Scotland, reportedly next to Canada in June-July (unlikely she will go other than brief visits unless she plans to leave her son for two months or pull him out of school) then to LA while she'll be working in Manchester, and that takes them up to September and the start of the school year, keeping her in London unless she's planning on moving and settling her son in a new school in LA by then which is really unlikely and stupid considering they won't know about Rex's future by then. They might be happy with a long distance relationship or to split their time between London and LA, or their relationship might not be that serious and they're perfectly happy about it, or they could very serious but are waiting till Rex's future is absolutely fixed till they make longterm plans, who knows. - Anna

If that turns out to be the case, well, I wish them every happiness, joy, success, longevity and beautiful, healthy kids. And I'll cry too.

I WISH beautiful men like DT would at least CONSIDER attractive, fit, fertile, professionally successful, unthreatening, well- balanced women who are in their age range. God knows, they must meet enough women who fit that profile. <> Not that it matters to a baby nun like me whom he dates ::cries::

SD hasn't moved away. My friends sister goes to her drama school in shep and she is still very much there. I think the child is the one for DT and I'm prepared to trust his judgement. At gally she said she has two passports and half her family are there (she also grew up there) so it wouldn't be a hard move for her. Be sure if she does the lord WILL propose...may have to keep that bolly on ice I fear. Only time will tell xx Kate xx

Anonymous said...

She didn't grow up in LA, she's only ever lived in England.

Sara said...

Kate: What are you basing all these theories on exactly? I'm certainly intrigued to know why you seem sure she is the 'the one'? Seems strange to say when you don't know him.
Even more bizarre that you seem to be making judgements as to when/if/how and where he will propose to someone.

And are you referring to GM when you say she grew up in the USA? .. Because...erm... she didn't actually. Simple as that.

None of these things factor in whether a US move would work for her now. Just because she has some relatives living there now means nothing.. the USA is a big country you know. A move across the other side of the world to a different country and uprooting your child WOULD be hard, of course it would.

I would also question if someone who spends time internet searching her boyfriend, has the maturity for such change.

Natalie said...

Amy: SD has two brothers, who have families in the USA and in the LA area. SD's parents are alive and in the USA. The child has said that she was in LA visiting family when the Doctor's Daughter originally aired. Not that hard to figure out. :)

Anonymous said...

Actually she did grow up in LA (sorry to quote Gally again) I don't really care if she comes or not. I just want HIM to :)

Sister Chastity said...

This is a very entertaining, though ultimately rather pointless discussion here ladies.

I would debate whether she ever actually "grew up" in LA or anywhere else.

Her Mum moved to England with hubby #1 in 1970. The Child's Bio reckons she attended St Edwards School in Oxford (ENGLAND) which takes kids 13-19. She was in Peak Practice at 14 and she was preggers at 15 so which part of her "growing up" did she do in the States??

Anonymous said...

If she said she grew up in LA then she is lying, period. Or more likely made a joke or something that was misinterpreted. Remember she grew up in the public eye, her parents were celebrities and tabloid fixtures in Britain during her childhood. From before she was born her parents always shared everything about their (and her) personal lives with the press and she did too until she started dating DT.

Anonymous said...

QUOTE: From before she was born her parents always shared everything about their (and her) personal lives with the press and she did too until she started dating DT.

Which singe-handedly proves DT is a god, imo. If he can by his own good example and influence cause that gabby pair and their offspring to shut the heck up and keep their private business private, he is David the Magnificent all over again. A pity she seems occasionally to have others in her life who attempt to fill the news void.

As for me, I'm sat here pining for news of any sightings of Our Beloved Lord as he toils on the highways and byways of Glasgow, bringing into being his Single Father.
Acolyte Agatha, Paisley-on-Sea

Amy said...

And 'Natalie', SD's brothers and parents do not live in LA. As someone else said .. The USA is a big country. So I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say 'not hard to figure out' What exactly???..
Your thought processes??.. in which case I'd argue that yes, actually.. they are very hard to figure out.

Anonymous said...

To quote from Gally again- yes her brothers and parents live in Los Angeles although she was brought up somewhere else. I think it's great she spent talk about her relationships anymore but boy is it DULL! I wanna hear about dt...

Anonymous said...

Yes.. She was brought up somewhere else... THE UK!!! I can't believe it's even in debate. She was NOT brought up in the States.
And no, I don't want to know all about DT thanks. It's not dull. It should be private. Although for some people, keeping quiet is clearly too much of a stretch.

Anonymous said...

Why all the arguments about whether GM has uncles living in the US? All her immediate family are in London, and as she's never lived in America how close can she really be to her American relatives. Doesn't seem very relevant.

Becky said...

I think the point is - who cares where her mother's side of the family lives - the bottom line is she was clearly NOT brought up in the States.
Not in any way at all. But none of these factors make a difference to whether a move would be successful to her.

Anonymous said...

I find it strange that you are denying something that came from the horses mouth...she said she was brought up over there. Anyway you obviously all think you know her so I'm not going to argue. It doesn't look that hopeful for dts show anyway so this is all pointless. I love him and hope he stays here no matter what. I also couldn't give two figs who he is with. His business not mine.

Becky said...

Jesus Christ.... *bangs head against wall* Use your brain.. It's not a case of 'denying what comes from the horse's mouth' The horse is either off her rocker or lying. SHE DID NOT GROW UP THERE. She may have visited now and again but that most certainly does not constitute growing up somewhere. Anyone knows that.
And you are more than a little creepy if you are so desperate for DT to 'stay here'. No you don't love him... you've never met him. Weird.
Oh and yes actually the signs are very hopeful for Rex.. so your whole post is pretty much redundant all in all.

Anonymous said...

Even if Rex doesnt get picked up he will be off to US for work. He got himself an agent there. Some people (or person)doesnt want him to go to work on Rex - not because of wanting him working here - but wanting him with GM. Probably pictures him watching the family dvds and dr who every Sat night holding hands with GM. He is too good to not spread his wings and try different things. Its what he wanted otherwise he wouldnt have done the pilot
A few weeks holiday does not mean she grew up in the States

Sorry do you know her? No so don't pretend you KNOW she didn't grow up there. Goodness me!! It's like you think you know everything. Also stop pretending like you know anything about dt or what he wants for his career. As someone in the US, I'd like to clear some of this stuff up. NBC is looking for 5-7 new dramas, and they have already ordered a full season of one, and has picked up three more. That leaves 1-3 slots open, and 5 drama pilots in contention, one of which is already quietly making deals, and another that is by a big name producer who is already looking for a showrunner. That leaves three, one of which is Rex, which is "a dark horse." That the reworked pilot tested well is a good thing, but the fact that the original pilot did not is a strike against it. If Rex gets picked up, it's because NBC is really hurting for shows right now.

NBC's upfront is on the 17th, so we will all know in a week whether it's been picked up or not. With *that* said, *if* it is picked up, it will most likely be for a half-season at most, until it airs. While full season pickups have happened before (Chuck comes to mind), they are *very* rare. Orders are usually extended about a month after the shows first air, and freshman shows usually aren't renewed until late in the season.

What I would love to see happen, is to have Rex picked up for NBC's *cable* affiliate, USA. Burn Notice, Royal Pains, White Collar, & Psych are all on there, and all are fantastic successes on cable that probably wouldn't translate to network. Cable shows have a shorter season, less intense shooting schedule, can take more risks with the scripts, and the stars aren't as prominent in the papparazzis' eyes. As the star of a network show, the paps would be out for blood - especially because DT is incredibly 'pure' by HW standards.

As for GM, as far as I can tell, she *IS* a US citizen. The laws are this ~ if one parent is a citizen and the other is not, the child is a US citizen IF ~ * the US citizen parent has been "physically present" in the US before the child's birth for a total period of at least five years, and * at least two of those five years were after the US citizen parent's fourteenth birthday. If that is correct, and GM IS in fact a US citizen, she would NOT have to have an agent or work permit in order to move to the US. I have no idea where she grew up, nor frankly, do I care. I also won't debate her intellectual capabilites if she does, in fact, move to the US after DT. All I'll say is we know what happened the last time he and his gf were an ocean apart, and I don't think GM or her daddy would be too happy if it history repeated itsself.

I read this day that Our Lord of Time, the Most Beauteous David ::blessings be upon Him and the Teninch forever:: hath entered unto a formal undertaking to remain in the North Country for a while longer while he dost create a wondrous, new personage - one 'James': a soon-to-be-bridegroom who, it saith, will be lured from the arms of a pretty but vainglorious fiancee and into the embrace of a pretty, sensible, sane girl most suited to James' gracious goodness. This work is to be called Heaven On A Stick - no, I mean, Decoy Bride.

Hi

Been lurking for a bit. Saw a photo of him just after getting out of a car for the wedding. He was smiling and looks like he is holding a gift in his hand. Did not look like he was waiting for anyone else to get out of the car. And, it didn't look like anyone was getting out after him. Might mean nothing but wanted to pass it along. Also, if they were together but not photographed together, that is just really, really odd after 2 years.

Not that that means anything. Walliams is more his friend than hers, and every body and their aunt appear to have been there.
