What a difference a week makes....

Sisters, Acolytes and Followers

I am sure that by now you will all have seen the visions of our (Time) Lord *praise be his name and ten-inch* which have been liberated from the Island of the Man. I fear for the sanity of the costume designer on the set of Decoy Bride. Perhaps she felt that by cladding the Ten-inch in tartan and teaming this with a paisley shirt, she would cause permanent damage to the eyesight of the fangals. Not likely, the Sisters donned their Wayfarers and perved away to their heart's content.

It seems that working away suits our Lord as he looks relaxed and refreshed when compared to the recent visions from All my Sons and Legally Blonde. It seems clear that the absence of the energy-sucking limpet and her small offspring has given the Lord time to recuperate and return to his most gorgeous best. His hair looks shiny and ruffleable once more, his skin has improved and his developing wrinkles have retreated for the time being. There is a move to his native land shortly to continue the filming and I am sure that the late sleep-ins coupled with the natural scottish air will continue to refresh our Lord until he must return to that hell-hole of Londoom and the dreary luvvie world of the davison-moffett wannabies.

As the collective praying worked for the visions, I suggest that this week we go for a congregation on the Sabbath and pray for the ten-inch to come to its senses, wake up and smell the bullshit and finally leave the child for a proper woman. Sisters, Acolytes and Followers you know what to do. Altogether Now .... three...two...one...

"leave her...leave HER...LEAVE HER!!!!!"

All hail the Sisters, Acolytes, Anonymouses and, as we say in the Land of the Lone Star - all y'all. Well, not hail those certain hangers-on and toads with no senses of humor. To them I say a hearty 'don't let the screen door hit ya in the arse!'

I have, up to this point, been neutral on the subject of the lord's (blessed be he and his teninch!) love life. Since I am unfortunately not the subject of his ardor, I was of the mind that if he was happy, I was happy.

But now after perving...erm, studiously comparing the pictures in this weeks blog, I must say that our lord seems to be quite better off when he's not with The Child.

Perhaps it is a coincidence. Perhaps work is what puts color back into those angular cheeks (oh, how I would like to tweek same!) Or perhaps he was still benefitting from the makeup artist's fair brush in the pictures from IOM.

Although I am not quite to the point yet of crying aloud, LEAVE HER LEAVE HER LEAVE HER, I have begun muttering it to myself.

That said, the new pictures brought me great joy, even though, as Amberleigh so aptly noted, he had been hit by a couch.

Hopefully we'll see more soon.

Kindest Regards.

Gosh you are saying exactly what I've been thinking. I know people have been saying for a long time, that he never looks happy when spotted with her (okay apart from that one time when he was clearly drunk and surrounded by other friends, even holding hands with his best friend Adam), even in fan pics or pics where they're not aware of being photographed. I am honestly starting to wonder. The only two times last year he looked really good were during the 3-week LA Comic Con trip and the 6-week LA Rex trip. In all the pics and videos from those trips he looks really young and healthy and deliriously happy, bursting with energy. From later interviews too he obviously really enjoyed both trips. Most of last year he did not look so good, and usually looked tired and stressed/unhappy when out and about in London. The first week or so he was shooting Single Father there were several reports of him being a bit moody and unfriendly, and it was during those first two weeks he was coming back to London to see her every weekend. He stopped returning to London after the second week and suddenly there are reports of him being his old sweet friendly self, nice smiley happy photos. And now the recent London pics he looks old tired and stressed, his first couple of days away, he looks bad, the longer he's away working, the younger and happier and more relaxed he looks. Surely you would expect the opposite?? No matter how much someone loves their work filming is very ardous and surely being away from your partner for weeks or months at a time is difficult. I don't understand it, he was never like this with Sophia.

He DOES look a lot better.

Thank goodness. I was worrying.

I can even forgive extreme wardrobe malfunction I'm so relieved.

At least we know it's not HIS wardroble malfunctioning...

I couldnt agree more with the blog or comments. Its all rather odd isnt it? Its also a bit disturbing that someone of his calibre wants to keep company with showbiz wannabes.
He looked beautiful on the island
The child is filming in Manchester . Will Mellor has been spotted so the Lord will prob have to make a detour from the island before setting off for his homeland (unless of course he has been pencilled in for the school run.
Oh for the days of Sophia
leave her leave her LEAVE HER

As I said in an earlier post today, my real desire is to see him happy. I can't fathom why he would remain with The Child if he were truly THAT miserable with her. It just doesn't make any sense. And yet the physical evidence seems to point clearly in that direction.

My whispered chant is becoming louder why don't you leave her, WHY DON'T YOU LEAVE HER!

He IS looking beautiful again, isn't he. The strain seems to have left his face in these latest photos and his eyes appear brighter, his smile more natural. He looks rested, healthy and enjoying himself. If that's what brisk island air does to a person, I'm booking a ticket to one, stat! Honestly, Sisters, all things considered, and much though we adore and love our Lord [all glory to his name and ten inch], he IS a fully paid-up workaholic who has no hobbies and doesn't see the point of holidays. Moreover, he is on record more than once as wishing he could have a word with his fourteen year old self, telling him to relax and enjoy the journey more [and he wasn't talking about the bus trip into Glasgow, think on]. That suggests to me he still yearns for variety and conquest! Yet, despite the tabs doing their darndest, post-Sophia, to make him sound like a Lothario, he doesn't have the amoral, predatory character for it. Yes, he's said he'd like to have kids. But to be settled? Now? I wonder. IMO all the career portents, tea leaves, crystal gazing, palm reading etc indicate he's got a whole LOT of working AND living to do in the next ten years. He's entering what is a hugely important and unpredictable phase of his career. If he's not settled en famille by now, it doesn't seem to be a propitious time to begin. [Competing interests at home and at work and all that.] Some actors do manage it of course and it works fine for them. I just wish him happiness always. If GM makes him so, OK. I might KNOW a woman with a few more years on her card would be more rewarding <:cough:> and I'm positive the conversation is better, but if he won't be told...We'll have to just wait and see. I can do nowt but pray for him, any road: "Let what will be, be, and let it be for the best" :) Please don't lower me down the well on a length of fraying rope for saying this, but I could never get on the SM train. She seemed clingy, her eyes moist with devotion. For a woman of 27, whenever pictured with him or speaking of him, she gave off the vibe of a besotted 16 year old. Our Lord can do better, yea verily. GM at least seems as if she has a spark to her. [Not sure what else, mind, but I'll admit to detecting at least a pleasing enough spark, while wishing her to be 8 years older!]

People start and stay in relationships for all sorts of reasons. Familiarity, fear of being alone or of conflict, desire to avoid hurting someone. Many men behave like ostriches in relationships and would rather avoid problems than confront them. Taking jobs involving months abroad is a good way to avoid problems! Are there no acting jobs in England that he has to be always travelling nowadays?

The shippers' belief that this is a serious committed relationship and that they are one big happy family is odd imo. There is no evidence for that. After all they live pretty far apart and often spend long periods apart working and they are not seen together very often. They may well be in a committed relationship but it's equally possible they are only casually dating. He's nearly 40 and hasn't had a live-in relationship in many years if ever, and shows no sign of settling down or slowing down his workaholism. An older woman would like demand more committment. Maybe it's easier to continue with a young girl than throw himself back into the dating pool having to weed out all the fame-chasers and people who are in love with his image not him. We all think he's a sex symbol who could get any woman he wants but he doesn't see himself that way.

I do think there is also a lot of the 'look I've got a young blonde!' involved - I honestly don't think it's something he consciously thinks, but she is very young looking and pretty, this is the kind of girl he maybe didn't get or couldn't get when he was younger. There is also the 'ready made family' that he can slot into and do the things he thinks he should be doing at his age (school runs anyone?) Also, she has been able to drop her life and toddle off with/to him, something that not other people can do if working full time.

Personally, I can't warm to her, even before they were together was never fond. It's certainly nothing to do with jealously - He'd had some really smashing girlies who seemed very nice - but of course that is what is always accused if you say anything. In the end all I hope for him is that he is happy and doesn't get hurt .

Some of the IOM pics are lovely and some are, well, less so! He's still looking a bit thin and tired in some.

Poor darling.

I think he may be allergic to Londoom, so he needs to stay away for as long as possible! He clearly needs the fresh air.

When he goes back to The Land of Kilts and Heather (not to mention Laphroaig!) he'll be even happier -although he does seem to say that the changeable weather on the IOM is a good double for Scottish!

I think it's a good double all round, it looks beautiful.

I bet he was kicking himself, though, missing T in the Park - unless he snuck off! : )

hallo good sister, happy to be lucky enough to fall into this wonderful blog tonight!!
These hot summer days are getting even hotter becouse my husband (that god may bless him) had the fine idea to introduce me to the world of doctor who and I am really getting addicted to it - not talking about the discovery he performed hamlet last year, he is a member of RSC and so on - and two nights ago I even dreamed about him - guess it, I was kissing him and that's was so real, touching his hair on the neck and sweet cheek and eyebrow (yes, eyebrow) that I suddenly wake up and thought "What???"
well, dear sisters, about the young maked up blond girl - I had a premonition about her watching the episode with the child, how can I say, eyes too wide looking at him etc etc - I unite myself to the acolites who wish for the best for him, because I have a deep sense he deserves it, and not only because he is a damned hot aries man :)

Yea verily, I do believe the Sisters, novices and acolytes have spoken truth when we have observed how well the Lord [bless him and keep him and the ten inch as well forsooth] is looking as he labours in the land of his birth. He's thriving. The most recent pics of Our Dear One, pedaling in the moat of the ruined castle have sent me into a fever of - well, a fever. Trim shoulders and taut thighs strain against fine grey suiting, a nibbleable neck and pretty hands on display, and he looks as if he's dropped ten years! [Which, while a great relief to those of us who love to worry about him, does make him appear a more suitable age-match for the Child, dang it. Am now not sure what to pray for!!]

well, to be serious, just hope she is going to be a good friend for him too, it seems to me that in later years he appears somethin like 'depleted', you know what i mean, and considering that it's not because of some usual actor's 'addiction'-drugs alcool and so on-but i think it comes straight from his deepest soul...well, to be short, hope he can count on some good friends, and that the child is not just a 'lamer', think he gave many things to many people during his career, and wish him to be always pure, good and strong as he is - i know, was not short at all, but you know, roman speakers were my ancestors :)

quote/ it seems to me that in later years he appears somethin like 'depleted'.... i think it comes straight from his deepest soul...\quote

I dunno about 'depleted', as I think he usually continues to display remarkably consistent energy, dedication, even MORE energy and to be jet-propelled by an extraordinary work ethic, perhaps tinged by a subliminal deep-seated fear that It -the career, the acting which he loves and feels defines him - might all vanish without warning in a puff of wind. It could be that ultimately this constant vigilance, this need to keep on top and in front of the pack is wearing. I do wonder how long he can keep up the level of apparently perpetual engagement, without something giving out. Mayhap he is like Napoleon and Churchill, both of whom were apparently able to keep up with their monumental responsibilities because they indulged in periodic cat-naps throughout the day! I have never read of Our Dear One doing such a thing, but may be 'tis so. I too want him to have people around him who nurture him, and that he nurtures them.

sorry dear sisters, probably my perfectible use and knowledge of english language carried to a misunderstanding - I was not meaning that our Lord (god bless etc) is becoming a bad or worst actor or something, I was thinking he looks rather tired and skinnier (maybe it's just fast metabolism..or a 20 years old blond Morticia (sorry can't avoid) gal in your bed... :)))the fact that he is full of autopropelling energy is undoubtful and we are all glad to it, bless him; actually cat naps would do, good for the body and the mind; nurturing of his nearby and our positive thoughts towards him can do the rest :)
thank you for your consideration,

Whilst penitentially engaged in scrubbing the scullery here at the Convent of Care this morning, thinking of the pics from "Decoy Bride" and the Glorious Slenderness of Him perched on that iron rail fence, it didst occur to me to hope that Our Beloved One [all hail him and the magnificence of the teninch] hast not given up regular formally structured physical exercise, post DW/Ten. That justly celebrated peachy, rounded, rear bumper of his must never be allowed to assume the flattened, meanly contoured bumps which do blight the lives of merely skinny blokes, not to mention disappoint all those who like to perImeangaze admiringly upon this one :0 Just a thought.

Who's the pretty blonde in the latest Decoy Bride pics? Not sure if she's the actress playing the movie star girlfriend, or maybe a crew member or a set visitor. The Lord is looking Spectacularly Magnificent in these pics, btw. Dear Heaven, but he does Beautiful Man wonderfully well.

She isn't one of the lead actresses. Might be crew or an actress with a walk-on role.

Hmm, Twitter is abuzz with talk of some DT family photos being leaked online or stolen from his sister?? What's going on? His family surely are careful and respectful. I have no wish to violate his privacy by viewing them, just tell me this, is there an unwanted hanger on in the pics? On second thoughts perhaps ignorance is bliss.

Anonymous said...

Convent life has left me with no scruples apparently. No hanger/s-on visible in pics so far published, [but maybe the pics are cropped. ARGH!!! Noooooooo!] The blonde looks to be in late 20s, early 30s. Attractive in a normal way [ie not artificially pneumonic in the chestal region and her face not surgically enhanced]. Just a well preserved, well presented, good looking woman with a pretty, smiling face. Enjoying evidently happy chat and much laughter with DT ::dies of jealousy:: <> It's not his sister and I can't see any family resemblance. Maybe his sister in law? Or someone without even that tangential relationship - a set worker, a supporting actor, a minor player, a production technician, someone from his agent's office? I don't know who it might be. But he looks soooo fine! So well, fit, handsome and happy. [Odd that a stranger's well-being should make me feel so glad, but there it is!]

He does indeed look mighty fine...

I thought he'd been at the gym, cos in one pic I've seen he's straining out of his shirt - but it was since pointed out to me that his chest is always pretty buff, he just doesn't always show it off properly.

Come on, lad, shoulders back, chest out! :)

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I verily do believe that I mistakenly intimated that the laughing blonde pictured so recently with Our Blessed Time Lord is dressed in an undergarment that DOES NOT SING- my wayward spelling suggested she is NOT 'artificially pneumONIC in the chestal region'. My mortified apologies, Sisters, Acolytes and others. I meant 'pneumatic'. [It never does pay to try to be clever after 2.5 glasses of even good quality sacristy vin rouge.]
More pics of the Divine David on set would go a long way to make me feel forgiven, though :)

It seems our beloved (praise be his name and teninch) took a short jaunt to the Isle of Cumbrae last weekend. Alas, the newspaper article posted this morning reports he was accompanied by his "blonde actress girlfriend." The article held out a glimmer of hope in that it did not come out and name The Child, (perhaps nobody could remember her name) but methinks it was only the faintest of glimmers indeed.

Two girls on Twitter said they thought they saw GM with her dad at the Prom which was the same Saturday (the terrifying Scooby was harassing them). I wonder if he was with that blonde woman from the photos, or someone else from the film. Because it seems strange for her son not to be with them, if it was her.

someone posted under that article that it in fact was NOT the infant

Sister Chastity said...

Praise be Sisters et al. Have our prayers been truly answered? The Lord is photographed on set laughing with a lovely blonde and takes her for a jaunt to the Islands to visit his ancestral pile? Meanwhile the Child is in Londoom wallowing in her one appearance on Who with her wannabe Dad.
Could the Lord have a new squeeze? Has the Teninch found a new hole to play in?

Anonymous said...

The presence of the Child in London at the Proms with her papa has been disputed on Twitter and elsewhere by those who say there is no photographic evidence. Certainly, PD and the Moff were apparently at the Proms together, but whether GM was an accompaniment is unclear. Nonetheless, the passenger on the ferry taking DT and the blonde to the island did seem reasonably sure that it wasn't GM. However, we can't overlook that the Glorious Lord is a friendly, nay gregarious, soul, so the jaunt a deux may mean nothing more than a free day spent in the company of an agreeable work companion. [I have lived my adult life attesting to sceptical cynics of my acquaintance that men and women can be friends, they need not be inevitably lovers or enemies, so I have to argue that be true of DT as well, to be fair.]

Lordy the comments on that article have exploded. We have one person claiming to live on the island and to have witnessed the Lord and Child indulging in some public tonsil tennis. And another self-professed islander also claiming to have seen him saying that's bullc***. Guess that proves you can never believe what you read online ... unless it comes from the sisters, of course.

Sisters its all been quite hilarious with our Lord taking a day out with or without the child (methinks with as she wont let too much time go without seeing the Lord)
Meanwhile that great thespian mother of hers 'Sandy I'll sell my wedding' has been videod (unfortunately I have been unable to view it) mischeiviously confirming their relationship saying she is happy for them both (not as happy as puffed up daddy Davison). Of course the childs fans are thrilled by this and already toasting the imminent nuptuals.
I am convinced that mummy is deliberately following the tradition of child's family and friends by making sure the world knows their darling has landed the greatest ever actor namely the Lord.
